What is Neuro-linguistic programming?
The way of changing our thoughts and behaviours to help achieve desired outcomes.
Neuro - process of gathering information from the outside world through our five senses
Linguistic - the study of language and the way that we make sense of information
Programming - the way we interpret the world and how we choose to behave
How does it work?
We operate by internal “maps” of the world and learn through sensory experiences.
NLP aims to modify unconscious biases or limitations of an individual’s map of the world.

NLP explores a variety of ways to cope when we aren't coping.
It can impact your wellbeing by enabling your inner mind to feel more confident and calmer when facing challenging situations
Overall it makes you realise one very important thing:
'There is no such thing as failure, only results you weren't expecting

4 NLP techniques There are many NLP techniques that can be explored to help you cope with the daily 'life struggles' we all face.
Below are some examples:
-
Reframing:
Reframing is a way of thinking about something in a more positive and helpful way. It is a way of reassessing your beliefs from different perspectives giving you a more rational approach to your life
-
Affirmations:
An affirmation is a saying that you repeat to yourself over and over until your brain begins to view it as a reality. Affirmations help you to reprogram your mind to think in the way that you want to behave.
-
Anchoring:
Turning sensory experiences into triggers for happier emotional states.
-
Visual/ kinaesthetic dissociation (VKD):
Trying to remove negative thoughts and feelings associated with a past event.
Am I Alone in this World of Struggle?
The lack of asking for help is something many women experience.
Many of us view seeking assistance as a sign of weakness. It makes us feel as if we have failed in some sort of a way as a wife, a mother, a friend or an employee.
In fact seeking assistance is a sign of strength and we must not only remember this but put it into practice.
